The Ektralamp series can satisfy all of the organ console lighting needs including an overhead music light, under-the-rack lighting of couplers/stops/keyboards, and pedal lights.
The coupler lamp is diffused in order to spread light evenly over the couplers and keyboards. It can be mounted behind the music rack with brackets which can be screwed to a vertical or horizontal surface. The lamp is available in 20" or 30" lengths.
The pedal lamp attaches with brackets to the frame below the manual keyboards. It is 30" wide and available in aluminum or brass.
Each Ektralamp light can be powered from individual 6VDC "desktop"-type power packs, or, when multiple lamps are installed, from the Ektralmap power control module.
The power control module reduces the DC organ power (up to 16VDC), to the 6VDC needed by the lamps, and regulates the output voltage to prevent flickering when the organ makes sudden demands on the power supply.
The power control module allows the technician to adjust the brightness of each lamp so as to provide just the right lighting for each area of the console. An optional dimmer potentiometer allows the organist to control brightness of all the lighting - useful for Christmas eve or Maundy Thursday services when the sanctuary lights are dimmed. The dimmer potentiometer can be supplied with its own free-standing case, or can be built into the console.
